Consignment Policy
General
- Initial consignment selling price will be determined by Eco-Elegance and the consignor. Factors such as the retail value, original purchase price, age, designer, style, and condition will help determine the initial consignment selling price. The initial consignment selling price may be reduced by 5-10% every 30-60 days. Consignors may set a "Lowest Acceptable Consignment Price" at the time items are approved and accepted by Eco-Elegance.
- Please bring a copy of the purchase receipt(s) for your consignment items (preferred, but not mandatory).
- All items will be on contract with Eco-Elegance for a period of 120 days ( approximately 4 months). Merchandise picked up prior to the end of this contract will be subject to a 25% fee of the initial selling price of the item (minimum $25.00 per item).
- The consignor will receive 40% of the final selling price.
- It is the consignor’s responsibility to remember the contract end date and to make arrangements with Eco-Elegance to pick up any unsold items. Items not picked up one week (7 days) after the contract end date will become the possession of Eco-Elegance.
- Wedding and/or special occasion accessories may be priced 10-60% off of their original retail value.
- Accepted dresses and gowns must meet Eco-Elegance’s ‘Wedding-Day Ready’ standard.
- Gowns should be less than 5 years old. Some exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
- They should be in very good to excellent condition.
- Clean, Clean, Clean (spot cleaned or fully cleaned if necessary).
- A little dust around the hem is acceptable since most hems are later altered.
- Some imperfections that may be acceptable after a professional cleaning may include very light stains or marks, small snags, and minimal missing beads (imperfections should not be noticeable unless very closely inspected).
- Eco-Elegance will notify wedding gown consignors after their gown(s) has sold.
- Original purchase price
- Date of purchase
- Gown designer/brand
- Style Number
- Size on label
- Your street size (if gown was altered to fit you)
- Height with wedding shoes
- If the gown was professionally cleaned
- Any gown alterations
